Phillips Joins the HOF with Win

Cameron Phillips not only took home another Golfweek Junior Tour victory this weekend, but he added his name to a very impressive list: GJT Hall of Fame. His opening round 67 was the low round of the weekend by four strokes and that paved the way to a four shot lead after day one. Cameron shot a day two 76 to finish the rounds at Darby Creek Golf Course at a one under par 143 total. Caleb Schnarr (71-75) finished in second place with a 146 total. Xavier Huestis shot 73-74 for a147 total and third place.

The boys 14-15 division was hotly contested this past weekend in Columbus, Ohio. Through 27 holes, Max Li found himself one stroke behind the leader with just nine holes remaining. Max managed a one over par 37 on the front nine (his back) and was able to force a playoff. Max then won the playoff to seal the victory. He shot 71-74 over the weekend for a one over par 145 total. Jack Marsh shot an identical 71-74 for a 145 and finished the tournament in second place. Mitchell Sargent (72-74) and Zach Ayers (75-71) tied for third place at 146.

Jodie Han was lights out all weekend long en route to her win at Darby Creek Golf Course. Jodie posted the round of the day on both Saturday and Sunday to vault her to her third career Golfweek Junior Tour win. She was able to make eight birdies over the course of 36 holes and those helped propel her to a nine stroke margin of victory. Her scores of 69-71 totaled a four under par 140. Eva Lim came in second place with scores of 75-74 for a 149 total. Third place went to Eliza Mercer (76-80) and Katie Husted (77-79) at 156.

Blaise Barnum kept his perfect season alive with yet another win. In his fourth start of the 23-24 season, Blaise racked up his fourth win. This win included Blaise's best round on the Golfweek Junior Tour on Saturday; a five under par 67 without a single bogey. His 75 on Sunday was enough to hold off the rest of the competition and Blaise finished at two under par 142. Harrison Young posted scores of 76 and 67 this weekend and finished the tournament in second place. Landon Tropf (70-75) and Elijah Hall-Bromberg (72-73) tied for third at 145.

Ellie Gonzalez-Ribble won her second Golfweek Junior Tour event of the year in just her second start at Darby Creek. Ellie tied her career low in the first round with an even par 72 that included three birdies. That round was good enough for a one stroke overnight lead. Ellie followed up Saturday's round with an 80 on Sunday. The 152 total was good for a two stroke victory. Nikitha Suresh shot 75-79 over the weekend for second place. Alyssa Zhang put up scores of 73-83 for a 156 total and third place.
