Narrow wins at Purdue

Lydia Bauersfeld dominated the back nine at Purdue's Kampen course this week with a 1 under par, 35, in round one, and a even par, 36, in round two. It was her back nine performance that won her the tournament this weekend by just 1 stroke over first round medalist Lizzie Anderson. Lydia posted rounds of 75-75 for her first win in the Girls 15-19 division.

The low round of the tournament was had by Logan McCormick on Wednesday at Purdue with a 2 under par, 70. He would start the round with two bogies in the first 8 holes, but would make a huge comeback with 4 birdies in the final 10 holes. His 4 over par, 148 total was enough to hang on to the Boys 16-19 win and the overall boys win as he would narrowly edge out Jake Rodgers and Ty Sylla.

Tyler Wirth claimed his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with a two day total of 151. He did have to hold off a charging TJ Kreusch who came in with the low round of the tournament, a one under 71, in the group in front of him. Tyler carded 6 birdies for the weekend, which tied with TJ for the most of any player for the week. This is Tyler's second start on the GolfWeek Jr Tour, both being at the Purdue Boilermaker complex.

Eli Wessel claimed his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with an impressive 1 over par, 145, total. His 2 rounds included 3 birdies each day and 24 pars, the most pars of anyone in the field, Eli had to hold of Brycen Tisch who made a charge on the back nine with 2 birdies and a 35, but ultimately fell 3 strokes shy of the win.

Caleb Bowlin made a hole in one this week in the second round on hole #13 with a wedge!
