Morency victorious at Otter Creek



Otter Creek Golf Club played host for the first time on the Golfweek Junior Tour and proved a tough, but scorable test for our field. The Boys 16-19 division opened with 7 players at level par or better through the first round. Landon True led the way after a 2-under par, opening round 70. Marshall Morency, who carded an even par 72 in round 1, started hot in round 2 with an eagle on the par-5, 1st hole at Otter Creek. He would continue his excellent play throughout the rest of round 2 to finish with a 4-under par, 68 and take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 titles! Samuel Harris earned runner-up honors after rounds of 71-70, to finish the event at 3-under par, 141. Michael Fairbank rounded out our top 3 at 1-under par, with a two-day total score of 143. Noteworthy: Nick Vilela carded the round of the tournament with a 5-under par, 67 in round 2!






Luke Haarer led the Boys 14-15 division from wire-to-wire at Otter Creek Golf Club. Luke's hole-out eagle on the par 4, 7th hole propelled him to open the event with a 3-under par, 69 and led the Boys 14-15 and overall Boys 16-19 division into round 2! Luke would card a round of 76 in round 2, to finish the event at 1-over par and earn the victory by one stroke. Knox Betourne carded rounds of 74-72 to finish runner-up and one stroke ahead of third place finisher, Brycen Tisch at 3-over par. Finn Johnson and Dane Sweikar rounded out our top 5 finishers at four and five-over par, respectively.






Ten golfers teed it up in the Boys 13 & Under division this week at Otter Creek. Greyson Cloern took the lead after an opening round 2-over par, 74 and never looked back. He would card 4 birdies in the second round enroute to a level-par score of 72. Greyson finished the event with a two-day total of 146 and a six-stroke victory! Mason Etscorn and Hunter Majors finished in a tie for second place at 8-over par, 152.
