Baker into the Hall of Fame at Purdue
Caden Baker was added to the Hall of Fame this week after his 4th win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour. Caden would play his final 7 holes in 1 under par to secure a 1 stroke victory over Drew Hardin and take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 titles. Players earn entry into the Hall of Fame when they have secured 4 victories on the GolfWeek Jr Tour, with 2 of those wins coming from overall wins. Caden is just the 4th player in the class of 2026 to be added to the Hall of Fame
The Northwestern University commit, Hsin Tai Lin, played in her first GolfWeek Jr Tour event and led wire-to-wire. Her rounds of 72-71 would include 5 birdies and an eagle on her second hole of the tournament. After her opening front nine 33, she would not relinquish the lead and post a 1 under par 143, good enough for a 6 stroke victory over Carter Lankford at 149.
Dane Starnes needed a 1 under par finish on his last 3 holes to secure the Boys 14-15 division title this week at Purdue Ackerman's course. After his first round tie for medalist honors, Dane would have a slow start to round 2 with 3 bogies in the first 4 holes, but would immediately birdie the 5th, 6th, and 7th holes. His 71-74 was enough for a 1 stroke victory over Brycen Tisch and Nathan Ash at 146.
Logan Gowin earned his first win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour in just his second start with a dominant win of 1 under par 143 and a 5 stroke victory. Logan would lead the Boys 13 & Under division in birdies for the tournamnet with 7 across the two rounds and would post the medalist rounds for both round 1 and round 2.
Ellie Hartung posted the round of the tournament on Wednesday with a 77 that included 3 birdies. Ellie would lead wire-to-wire on her way to victory and play the final 6 holes in 2 under par. Her win this week on Purdue's Ackerman course is her first GolfWeek Jr Tour victory.
