Back to back wins for Blackard

With a win last weekend at Chatham Hills in the Boys 14-15 division, Peyton Blackard was looking to back that up this weekend in Muncie, IN at the Players Club. This week he did even better with a win in the Boys 14-15 division, and a tie for the overall Boys 14-19 division with Kal Kolar and Alec Barker at 3 under par, 141. The three boys would head to the first hole to start the playoff where Peyton would make a birdie right away and claim the overall Boys title this weekend. This is his first overall title and is his 9th win on tour!

Ava Bunker took home her 5th win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this weekend and capped the tournament off with a birdie on her last hole to win by just two strokes over Peyton Cusick who carded the low round Sunday with a 74. However, Ava's first round 71 (the low round of the tournament) was too much to overtake and she would claim the Girls title with a 4 over par, 148 total.

It would take 3 extra playoff holes for Alec Barker to claim the Boys 16-19 title this weekend over Kal Kolar. After tying at 3 under par, 141, for the tournament, both boys would head to a playoff where they would play #1, #18, and #1 before Kal's bogey would give Alec the win. To get into the playoff, Kal had birdied 3 of his last 4 holes of the event to pull even with Alec. Alec played his front nine Sunday nearly perfect with 3 birdies and no bogies, posted a 71-70, and took home his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour

Micah Scheffer started his weekend on fire with 3 birdies in a row in the first 3 holes of the event. He would go on to post a 73, the second lowest round Saturday, and back that up with a 72 on Sunday which was the low round of that day. This win is Micah's second on tour since his win in June at NCR CC.

Also, we had a first in our 11 years of tour history, this weekend. Gowtham Nalluri had a hole in one on the par 4, 6th hole Sunday. This marks the first ever albatross in tour history!
